Meet The Designer

Katie Brown Owner, Creator, and Designer at My Branches

My Branches (originally called Family Tree Art) was created in January of 2010. It started small with orders coming in only from family, friends, and word-of-mouth referrals. The business has grown dramatically since last summer when My Branches was featured in the August 2013 issue of Real Simple Magazine. The feature was only a 1x2 inch spotlight at the end of a Genealogy article in the August issue of Real Simple Magazine, but it has brought in floods of orders from all over the country.

Katie taught herself how to use Photoshop four years ago when she began making digital scrapbooking pages for her family. She then went on to make invitations, logos, fliers for local businesses and eventually family trees.

Katie graduated with a BS in Family Life from Brigham Young University. She is an at-home wife to Scott and mom of two boys Luke (5) and Sam (2).

Balancing a home business entirely on my own while trying to be the best mom I can be and take care of our home is no easy task. But it's a blessing, and I love the opportunities and people I've met along the way. There is a lot of satisfaction in creating something beautiful for others to enjoy. Thank you for visiting My Branches!
